Acoustic / Country / Pop

Toronto Band Marshall DaneCountry rocker Marshall Dane gives a tip of the hat to his family’s Country Music roots with a little 2:19 Western Swing tongue-in-cheek don’t-try-this-at-home-kids snappy little number with the seemingly innocent title of Christmas Eve For Two. Ah yes, sounds like a cozy little cuddle-up kinda thing, but inside lurks the mischievous sense of humour that peppered his previous singles Love & Alcohol and Bad Choices. From the “numb fingers” opener to the “turn out the lights” closing line, it’s the most fun you’ll have with your Christmas jammies still on. Since his “Big Break” on July 1, 2009, Marshall has performed with Alan Jackson, Emerson Drive, Michelle Wright, Shane Yellowbird, Jason Blaine, Dean Brody, Chad Brownlee, Alex J. Robinson, Jim Cuddy, and Gord Downie. He has also been signed to The Agency Group on Nick Meinema’s roster. Brian Allen produced and Jason Barry engineered the new album “Running Stop Signs”. Marshall co-wrote many of the tracks with great writers such as Paul Brandt, Jason Matthews, and Dan Murph. Now headlining festivals on his own, Marshall has won friends with radio stations and their listeners across Canada via his debut single “Love and Alcohol” along with his second single “Bad Choices”. Brought up in St. Catharines, Ontario, in a devout household of 7 children, this GM town boy quickly realized a passion for music and the personal salvation it would bring. He left a secure corporate job for the life of a musical entrepreneur, intent on his goal – the world stage. If the successes of this past year are any indication of where Marshall Dane is heading – the world stage is not far away
