Tripping Hazard was born in a bathtub at Bathurst and Harbord in downtown Toronto on February 11th, 2005. Tripping Hazard was born in the upstairs of the Poor Alex Theater over drinks, conversations concerning Frank Zappa, Babes in Toyland and mysterious face wounds: the locations of bassists and bathtubs. Tripping Hazard was born in emotion, connection, lovers and friends, anguish and inspiration. Tripping Hazard was born to speak the soul through rock and roll.
While continuing to hone their live chops among the ridiculously talented groups of the Toronto independent music scene, and occasionally road-tripping to rock other cities around Ontario, Tripping Hazard continue to write and demo at the Ostrich studios. They have released the self produced EP, "It Can't be Pounding in Your Head if it's Throbbing in Your Groin", in December 2005,the cassette EP "Leprechaun Nipple Clamps" in March 2006.
Just this August, Tripping Hazard released "It Can't be Pounding in Your Head if it's Throbbing in Your Loins", an all new version of their first EP and are planning a follow up full length, which is being recorded as you read this, at Skylight Studio and Ostrich Studios.
