Rock / Showtunes / Pop
Picture a musical without the jazz hands. Picture a rock band without the hangover. Now throw in an eclectic mix of catchy pop songs. The result is Stagehands, a band that combines theatre and rock to create a whole new kind of show. This is Broadway-Rock!
Part grit, part glamour, Stagehands is not just a band, but a production. Their first show, ‘The Silent City,’ is performed onstage by the band who double as the actors. Imagine the sound of Broadway combined with the power and excitement of a rock band led by six unique characters. This is a band that commands attention and leaves the crowd wanting more.
Whether they are bending the rules of rock or doing PR in character, the possibilities for Stagehands to shine are limitless. The members of Stagehands (Geoff Stevens, Mackenzie Zufelt, Nemanja Protic, David Yenovkian, Marko Pandza, and Lisa Toole) will rock a crowd anytime, anywhere – from dark and dingy bars to Carnegie Hall, this band can do them all.
Stagehands’ first album, 'The Silent City,' was written and produced from the ground up by the group itself. 'The Silent City' tells the story of Stan, a lonely and frustrated songwriter who travels to Laconia: The Land of Entertainment in search of fame. What Stan finds is a city whose celebrity citizens are forced to wear masks by the evil, all-powerful, yet charming Mayor. The mask is a blessing and a curse for Laconians; it's the only way to reach the masses, even if it comes at the cost of individuality. Stan must face an impossible choice: either fight the Mayor and lose his chance at fame, or wear the mask and lose himself. 'The Silent City' races towards an electric musical finale that will decide Stan's and Laconia's fates forever.
With an arsenal of innovative songs, Stagehands is poised to rise above the rest to change the face of music, again and again and again. Get ready!
