Dream Awake is a Progressive Acoustic Rock trio, their sound being described as "...like Pearl Jam gone Celtic!"

Josh Wilkinson and Jill Krasnicki form the core of Dream Awake and approach their work with a fierce passion, focusing on creating music that's brutal in its honesty and beautiful in its intention.

2004 saw the creation of Dream Awake in Hobart, Australia and in 2006, Dream Awake moved to the thriving music scene of Melbourne, where they worked hard at their craft for the next two years. Much was achieved during this time including playing at major venues and festivals, supporting big name Australian acts and the recording of two independent EP's, 'The Key Tree' 2007 and ‘Temporary Shore' 2008.

But a thirst for adventure couldn't be quenched in their own backyard, so in 2008 Josh and Jill took Dream Awake to the Northern Hemisphere. Using Galway, Ireland as a base they quickly recruited a drummer and toured England, Scotland and parts of Mainland Europe during the summer months.

With this experience under their belts, Dream Awake finally arrived in Toronto, Canada in Dec 2008, this time to put their roots down. With big plans of incorporating more instruments into the band's line-up and touring the U.S, 2009 looks set to be the most exciting year yet for Dream Awake.
