Punk / Metal / Rock

The last time I was in Toronto, Canada, I was searching desperately for a brothel that didn’t share a ventilation system with a pizzeria. After many wrong turns I found myself glancing upon a scene of three homeless crack addicts huddled around a tiny oil drum. Or so I thought. It turns out that these three homeless clowns were none other than the members of Bukkake Katholik, innocently cooking up BT’s on a beat-up tin lunchbox. Certainly the gruff, HIV-encrusted exterior of this holy trinity belie their warm sense of hospitality - Assaulter Boy, Kardinal Sin, and the Reverend Trash took care of both my baser and more evolved needs, thus allaying my well-founded fear of Canadians. So, while staying with them in the city they lovingly refer to as “stinktown”, I promised a band biography based on my experiences in their home country. Et voila! Canadians naturally thrive while sucking off other cultures, and Bukkake Katholik is no exception. Take their spelling of ‘Katholik’; it seems the band wishes not to wallow in the drudgery of bastardized American English, opting instead for the cacophonous, more antiquated German. Now on to the word ‘Bukkake’. This is also problematic as it can be spelled a million ways and has a multitude of meanings. Allow me to clear this up. The last time I walked into a Japanese noodle emporium, I yelled “Bukkake!” My server neither doused me with bodily fluid, nor did he play the bitchen tunes of Bukkake Katholik on a Biwa. Instead he served me noodles with everything. So it’s basically like ordering the abattoir feculence known as a hot dog with ‘the works.’ ‘Nuff said.
So there you have it. I could go on about the ’05 release of Youth Fitness Challenge, the ’07 release of The Humanity EP, or I could explain why two people have left this band. But it’s pretty obvious that’s because Rev. Trash is a total asshole.
Warmest Regards,
Klaus Nomi
