Courtney Lynn Music is the very colourful, entertaining, captivating, and creative solo-project of twenty one year old Courtney Lynn. With soulful melodies, bitter sweet verses, and quirky banter she will shock and melt every listener.
Courtney Lynn is a girl with a voice you will never forget. A folky, brave, female singer/songwriter with soul splattering passion that will captivate and inspire you. Gut wrenching lyrics, and unconventional acoustic guitar work; an earthy, raw, and invigorating live performance THAT WILL LEAVE YOU WANTING MORE.She has been compared to Ani Difranco, Alanis Morissette, Cocorosie and Elliott Smith. Her honest and raw pop sensibility is setting a new standard for female acoustic acts.
Debut album, "The Green Wood Symphony" has sold over 700 copies since it's independent release in August of 2009. Courtney has performed in Canada, UK, and the USA and shared the stage with rising bands; The Junction, Moneen, Bad Flirt, Beekeeper's Society, The North, Dinosaur Bones and The Meligrove Band.
Her upcoming sophomore album "oh yellow." (to be released Spring 2010) was recorded at BWC Studios in Brampton with Producer/Engineer Greg Dawson - and features members of Moneen.
Single, "Little Miss Sunshine" is streaming on myspace with over 20000 plays and recently received an Independent Music Award Nomination for Best Acoustic Song.
