Yaletown, British Columbia’s TV Heart Attack are rolling into Toronto for a gig at CMW as part of their Canadian Tour.  The new wave rock band has garnered some impressive success, having performed on TV shows such as Whistler and Kaya, not to mention bassist Ryan McDonell’s recurring role on Smallville.  Vocalist Jason Corbett weighs in on their latest album Lost In The Sway and what can expect from their CMW performance.

How are you doing and where are you right now?

I'm great! Excited about our show tonight. I'm in a hotel room in Lake Louise waiting to hit the stage.

There are a lot of bands playing CMW, why should I watch yours?

We're desperate and dangerous so it's always a good show. Being at a TV Heart Attack show leads to amazing things for all involved.

What are you doing to prepare for CMW?

Lots of sleep. I have also started worrying a lot.

What are you hoping to get out of the festival?

It's not what we are hoping to get. It's what we are hoping to give.

So your bassist Ryan McDonell has a recurring role on Smallville as Stuart Campbell.  Has this caused for any good road stories pertaining to the band?

Getting mobbed at every Tim Hortons is getting tiresome, but what do you expect? Fame has its price.

What are you/your band working on at the moment?

Promoting the hell out of our new album Lost In The Sway and learning how to get along with each other. We just released a video for “AO” that's up on our YouTube page now and there is a new stop animation video for “Wolves” in the works.

Any last parting words for us music-hungry Toronto folk?

Yes! We look forward to being back in Toronto! CMW is going to be a blast!
