If you've ever thought to yourself, "I wonder what it would sound like if T-Payne started a pop-punk boy band?" Look no further.  Stereos plays a set at CMW before heading off on a cross canada tour with Hedley and Boys Like Girls.  Guitarist Robby Chalifoux tells us more.

How are you doing and where are you right now?

I am amazing, just enjoying my last couple days at home before hitting the road with Hedley.

 

There are a lot of bands playing CMW, why should I watch yours?

You want to come see Stereos. Its music inspired by the Superbowl, that would make your girlfriend think twice about your relationship. ha. JK. If you like fun, we own it.

 

What are you doing to prepare for CMW?

To prepare for CMW I've been watching a lot of LOST and listening to deadmau5.

 

What are you hoping to get out of the festival?

I'm hoping to see lots of great new bands and get the opportunity to hang with some new people.  I'm sick of the four other dudes in my band.

 

Tell me a tour story that is crazy but true.

Worst tour story:  when I was 17, I was playing a show in Roswell, NM. I like aliens, so i just assumed that they hang there a lot (everyone knows that).  Anyhow, I made the band drive out into a field to "search the skies" for UFO's.  None showed and the van was stuck in a field of cow manure.  I got kicked out of that band shortly after, ha.

 

What are you/your band working on at the moment?

Currently Stereos is preparing for loads of north american touring. We are also in the writing process for our next album.

 

Any last parting words for us music-hungry Toronto folk?

I used to make fun of the Leafs, but I'm from Edmonton.  I guess you have the last laugh now Toronto. GO CMW!
