 By: Sheena LyonnaisMarch 10, 2010 Black Napalese may not have their Myspace page together just yet, but their penchant for tight pants, long hair and a strong disposition to GNR and Aerosmith records (probably on vinyl) make them a strong contender in my top picks this week. The self-described “rock’n’roll machine” have been living in a one bedroom apartment for the past year, so it’s no wonder their music has so much pent-up fervor. Guitarist Scotty B. Goode (a man often mistaken for a lost member of the fictitious Stillwater) tells us more. How are you doing and where are you right now? Doing pretty fuckin' well all things considered. Sitting on my ex's bed in a towel... There are a lot of bands playing CMW, why should I watch yours? Because you missed the last one we played at the Bovine. We blew the freakin’ doors off the place. The joint was packed, the energy was unbelievable, and they were chanting our name by the end. We're finally living up to our potential... What are you doing to prepare for CMW? Practicing religiously and shopping for tight trousers. What are you hoping to get out of the festival? One step closer to a world tour. Tell me a tour story that is crazy but true. Believe it or not, we've never been on tour. (This IS a HUGE problem. We were built for the road. If we could all live in a one bedroom apartment for a year without killing each other, imagine how well we'd do when we're actually out there doing it.) What are you/your band working on at the moment? Our first recordings as Black Napalese Any last parting words for us music-hungry Toronto folk? "Hot foot, slow hand, sex on my breath again, tellin' me i taste like alcohol..."
