Jay Clark and The Jones third full-length release Blue Cholera is, for the most part, an album filled with lost love, broken dreams and picking up the pieces. Although no matter how down tempo and depressing its songs get, there always seems to be a shimmering glimmer of hope on Blue Cholera.

Jay Clark and The Jones third full-length release Blue Cholera is, for the most part, an album filled with lost love, broken dreams and picking up the pieces. Although no matter how down tempo and depressing its songs get, there always seems to be a shimmering glimmer of hope on Blue Cholera.
The opening track "Last To Know" is by far the best track on the album. It's the only upbeat track that instantly gets your foot tapping and your ass shaking. Complete with great trumpet lines during the chorus and background singers' whooo-whooing, "Last To Know" will be the first song you know and remember from Jay Clark and The Jones.
The rest of Blue Cholera sounds like the perfect soundtrack for a post-breakup listen or a lazy hung over Sunday afternoon. "Company" and "Ghost" stand out on an album that bounces between alt-country, country, folk and roots music. (DOC Records)
